Ganttry vs TeamGantt

TeamGantt is the drag-and-drop Gantt chart everyone else gets measured against — genuinely easy, genuinely pleasant. The differences are underneath: TeamGantt bills per project on a simplified engine, while Ganttry bills $20/user/month for a full CPM engine — lag, calendars, constraints, real baselines — and as many schedules as you can win.

THE PRICING MODEL
Per seat vs per project

TeamGantt charges per project on Basic and Business ($10–24/project/mo), with a flat 10-project bundle on Builder. Ganttry charges $20/user/mo — schedules are unlimited, so winning a job never raises the bill.

THE ENGINE
CPM vs drag-and-drop

TeamGantt shows a critical path on every paid plan — but with no dependency lag/lead, no constraint types and no per-task working calendars, it's computed on a simpler engine than a contract schedule needs.

THE CAPS
No task caps vs 150–500

TeamGantt caps tasks per project (150 Basic, 500 Business; Builder Edition: unlimited) and projects per plan (5 / 20 / 10). Ganttry has no task, schedule or feature caps on any seat.

What TeamGantt actually costs

TeamGantt prices by project, not by person. As of July 2026 there are three tiers you can buy self-serve, plus a quote-only Enterprise tier once you pass 20 projects. The sticker prices look small — the per-project multiplication is what to read carefully.

Basic
$12 /project/mo ($10 annual)

Two-project minimum, so the real floor is $24/mo. Capped at 5 projects, 1 manager, 10 collaborators, 150 tasks/project — and Project Health ($12/mo), cost loading ($24/mo) and custom boards ($24/mo) are paid add-ons.

Business
$24 /project/mo ($19 annual)

Five projects included, so it starts at $120/mo ($95/mo billed annually). Capped at 20 projects and 500 tasks/project; unlimited managers and collaborators; the Basic add-ons are included.

THE CONSTRUCTION TIER
Builder Edition
$199 /mo list ($99/mo first 3 months)

TeamGantt's construction package: 10 projects, unlimited users and tasks, lookahead scheduling, Procore one-click sync, material lead-time tracking, sub confirmations, cost loading and 1-on-1 onboarding. Past 10 projects, it's Enterprise by quote.

TeamGantt list prices, July 2026 (teamgantt.com/pricing). Annual billing is roughly 20% off. A free plan exists: 1 project, 40 tasks. Enterprise (beyond 20 projects) is quote-only. Ganttry, for reference: $20/user/mo or $200/user/yr, every feature on every seat, unlimited schedules.

Feature for feature

Compared against TeamGantt Business — the tier multi-manager teams need (Basic allows one manager) — with Builder Edition noted where it changes the answer. Green means it's included at the tool's quoted price.

The per-project math, per year

Per-project pricing rewards a big team on few projects — ten people on two jobs is genuinely cheap on TeamGantt. Construction is usually the opposite shape: a five-person office running a dozen active jobs. There, every job you win raises the TeamGantt bill, Builder's 10-project cap runs out mid-year, and Ganttry stays at five seats no matter how many schedules you open.

A 5-person team, both tools billed annually: TeamGantt Business at $19/project/mo vs Ganttry at $200/user/yr. Builder Edition ($199/mo list) can't hold the 12- or 20-job rows at all — it caps at 10 projects.

Where TeamGantt still wins

Ease of use for non-schedulers. The drag-and-drop editor is the benchmark for a reason — someone who has never scheduled anything is productive in an afternoon.
A real free plan. One project, 40 tasks, $0 forever. Ganttry's 14-day trial requires a card.
Viewers cost nothing. Business and Builder include unlimited users — subs and owners can watch a schedule without anyone buying a seat. In Ganttry, everyone who signs in is a $20/user/mo seat.
Builder's construction workflow. Procore one-click sync, lookahead scheduling, material lead-time alerts and sub confirmations are a genuine field package Ganttry doesn't have.

Where Ganttry pulls ahead

A contract-grade CPM engine. Lag/lead on all four link types, constraint types, float, per-task working calendars, five named baselines with variance — the things a scheduling spec actually asks for.
No task caps, unlimited schedules. No 150/500-task caps, no 5/10/20-project caps, no Enterprise quote when job 21 lands.
P6 and MS Project interop. Import Primavera XER and MS Project XML, re-import updates in place, export XML back. TeamGantt imports .mpp and CSV, exports CSV and PDF.
Monthly statusing done properly. A real data date, actuals in one dialog, retained logic, out-of-sequence flags, one-undo rounds — plus DCMA 13-point checks with a submittal-ready PDF.
Cash-flow you can send to a lender. Cost-loaded S-curves (planned/earned/baseline), a monthly table and a styled Excel export on every seat — not an add-on.

Switching is a CSV and an afternoon

Export each TeamGantt project to CSV, drop it into Ganttry's import with a mapping preset, and your tasks and dates arrive ready — rebuild the links with the lag, calendars and baselines TeamGantt couldn't hold. Re-imports update in place, so you can migrate one job per week without breaking stride.
