The project Dashboard
The Dashboard is a one-page readout of one project's progress and schedule checks, computed live from the schedule.
The Dashboard shows how one project is doing on a single page: how far along it is against plan, how it compares with the baseline, and how healthy the schedule is.
Where to find it
Open the project's Dashboard tab, beside its Work and Crew planning tabs, or choose Tools ▾ → Dashboard in the editor. On a phone, Tools is the way there. The project picker in the page head switches the Dashboard to another project without leaving the page, and Open schedule goes back to the editor. For the tabs beside it, see Work, My tasks and Calendar and Crew planning.
What it shows
Across the top, a line gives the project's status and the date it measures to (the data date, or today when none is set), then a row of tiles: percent complete, percent planned, the finish variance against the active baseline, the schedule checks score, the number of tasks and summaries, and the project's date window.
Under the tiles, cards:
- Tasks by status: how many tasks are complete, ahead, on track, behind or upcoming, plus the Work page's status counts when the crew uses them.
- Planned vs actual: bars for where the project should be and what has been reported.
- Progress by area: each area's planned and reported progress and its variance, with the areas finishing later than the baseline.
- Baseline: the overall finish variance and the tasks slipping most. With no baseline set, the card says so and offers Baselines…. See Baselines and variance.
- Schedule checks: the score and each failing schedule quality check. Details… opens Schedule quality checks, where each row jumps to its task in the grid.
- Cash flow: when tasks carry costs, the budget, the value earned to date and the cumulative S-curve. See Cost and cash flow.
Everything is computed live from the project: edits, undo and changes from other people redraw it as they happen.
Printing
Print produces a clean page in light ink.
Who can use it
Anyone who can open the project in the editor. Field accounts don't see the Dashboard. See Who can see and do what.
Good to know
- A project with no tasks shows "Nothing to measure yet — add tasks and progress to see the dashboard."
- For several projects at once, use the Projects page or Reports.
