Look after your clients' companies
For partner staff, create client companies, start trials, add and cancel licenses, follow invoices, and step into each client's Company page to run it.
By the end of this workflow your client has a working Ganttry company with the licenses it needs, and you know what your next invoice will be.
Who does this
Partner staff: people at a partner firm that resells Ganttry and runs it for its clients. Partner staff have a company Admin's full powers in every company their partner looks after, and use no license anywhere. See Who can see and do what.
Before you start
- Ganttry has set up your partner firm and linked your account to it as partner staff.
- Have the client's company name, and how many people will use Ganttry there.
Steps
- Open the partner dashboard. If you belong to no company yourself, you land on it when you sign in. Otherwise open your avatar menu and choose the Partner dashboard — your partner's name… item.
- Read the summary. Billing summary shows your Rate per license per month, your Paid licenses and Trial licenses, the Current cycle and the Next invoice (estimate). Next invoice (live estimate) lists what that invoice will hold, company by company.
- Create the client's company. Under Companies, press + New company… and type its name.
- Start a trial, if they want one. For a new company with no licenses, Start 14-day trial… asks how many licenses to give. It is free for 14 days; after that, the company needs paid licenses before anyone new can be added or re-enabled.
- Convert or add licenses. Convert to paid… turns a trial into paid licenses; billing starts that day, prorated on your next invoice. For a paid company, Add licenses… adds more. They work at once, and your next invoice includes the days left in the current billing period.
- Set the company up. Manage… on the company's row opens its Company page, where you have an Admin's full powers. Add its groups, standards and people as in Set up your company and Invite people, set roles and manage licenses.
- Cancel licenses the client no longer needs. Cancel licenses… asks how many. Cancelled licenses stay active until the end of the current billing period, then end.
- Follow the invoices. Invoices lists each invoice with its service period, amount and whether it is paid. Partner staff lists who at your firm has access.
Good to know
- Monthly cycles. Billing runs on monthly cycles from your partner start date. At each rollover the invoice freezes: one prorated line for each license added during the cycle, plus every company's licenses for the cycle ahead. You pay Ganttry directly by invoice, never through Stripe.
- Unpaid invoices. An unpaid invoice puts your partner account past due. Fourteen days after the invoice was issued you can't add licenses until it is settled. Your clients' companies keep working either way.
- Licenses stay put. Licenses never move between your companies; add and cancel them company by company.
- What your client sees. A partner-managed company never sees Stripe. Its License card says its licensing is managed by your firm and to contact you for more.
- Everything inside the company. As partner staff you see every project in each client company and can do anything a company Admin can do there.
